Tolls Germany: Changes in 2015
At the beginning of the year, toll rates were reduced and a separate rate for Euro 6 vehicles was introduced.
With effect from 1st July 2015, the HGV toll range was enlarged by about 1,100 additional kilometres of four-lane federal highways. And, with effect from 1st October 2015 tolls will have to be paid for vehicles with an admissible total weightof 7.5 tonnes and above - instead of currently 12 tonnes.
Which means, then vehicles or vehicle combinations destined or exclusively used for goods traffic with an admissible total weight of 7.5 tonnes and above will be subject to tolls.
Which means, as from the effective date, vehicles and/or vehicle combinations (truck with trailer) determined or used only for goods traffic, with a minimum permissible total weight (laden weight) of 7.5 tonnes and above will be subject to tolls.
In addition to these changes, new toll rates per kilometre will also be applicable in Germany. Consequently, the toll rate will depend on the number of axles of the vehicle, on the length of the route which is subject to toll and on the pollutant category.
